Based on Svendsen and Wolthusen (2007) flexible framework for modeling infrastructures and their interdependencies a graph-theoretical was described. The paper demonstrated several types of multi-dependency structures for both linear and particularly cyclical dependencies among multiple infrastructure types of both unbuffered and buffered types.
Unbuffered infrastructures understood as non-storable resources - power distribution network, telecommunication.
Buffered infrastructures - resource can be stored and accumulated in the nodes over time – gas, oil products.
